HangTuf Fastpitch

About Us

Our Organization

HangTuf Fastpitch Softball Club (HFSC) is a Lansing/Jackson area based nonprofit competitive travel softball organization that was originally established in 2002. HangTuf strives to provide a cost effective and value-added approach to playing travel sports, player development focus geared toward instilling softball fundamentals and life lessons, and college exposure opportunities through both tournament participation and organization relationships with colleges/universities. Our goal is to help every player in their pursuit of fastpitch excellence and to become great ambassadors, not only of their sport, but also their community. Since 2012 our program has assisted more than 50 plus players in reaching their goal of playing college softball. Please refer to our website Success Stories page for additional information about our College Commits as well as Testimonials about our program.

Our Scholarship Program

The purpose of our scholarship program is to reward deserving HangTuf softball players that are suffering financial hardships in order to assist with their travel softball expenses. HangTuf Fastpitch players seeking to participate in the scholarship program may be considered by contacting the President/CEO in writing by July 15th. The HangTuf Board of Directors will review the recommendations presented by the President/CEO and approve the final selection of the scholarship recipient by a majority vote at any duly scheduled board meeting.  No person shall be awarded more than one scholarship. Each successful applicant will be notified by the President/CEO no later than August 31st. The recipient and family will be expected to contribute to the organization by performing volunteer work. Please note the continuation of this scholarship program is within the sole discretion of the President/CEO based on available funding and may be terminated at any time. The existence of the scholarship program shall not create any expectation in any way that creates entitlement to scholarship program funds.
